One Small Step for Trevor...
So Trevor took his first step this week, Wahoo!!! Every day he's been venturing out, getting that concentrated look on his face, letting go of the table/chair/hand he's been holding onto and talking little wobbly steps before plopping down on his fanny. I think the first official step I saw him take was 5 days ago, so last Wednesday. Today, I think was even more thrilling than that. I set him down to stand and after he balanced himself for a couple seconds he took a step, another step, then a third step, then woah..balance check..woah..okay then a fourth step, a quick fifth step before finally flopping down on his fanny. He was so proud of himself and I cheered right along with him. It's so fun to see him advance. He's such a little boy that it does not look like he ought to be walking, people are often surprised to see him crawling because he looks a few months younger than what he actually is. I know that this is the beginning of the end- he's been destructive enough on his hand and knees, I can only imagine the kind of chaos he'll create once he's stable upright. Ah well, as is life. I sure love my little boy.

Ahhh, you're life will never be the same, he's past the point of no return! :)
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! Congrats to the little cutie!!! (And good luck to the little Mommy!) :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that's exciting. Jason's not even standing alone yet and I am totally fine with that. I'm not in a hurry for him to walk at all...if you talked to Brent you'd hear a totally different story though! :)
ReplyDeleteI found your blog, yeah! I can't believe Trevor is actually learning to walk. When is his birthday? He just seems to small and innocent to start causing trouble!
