So Lynette's hair is getting so long I figured it was time to initiate her into the time-old female tradition of putting your hair in curlers. She, suprising, took to it really well, and even slept in it without complaining a bit. I think it helped that she's seen me in hot rollers so many times it made her feel like she was being just like mommy. She lovingly refers to her curlers as "roller pollers". The whole event was a real deja vu experience for me. As I was rolling her hair I had so many flashbacks of countless Saturday evenings with my mom curling my hair for church. It was really fun sharing this experience with my own daughter. The torch has been passed.

The finished product. Only to be trashed 20 minutes later. *Sigh* oh well.
"Yes, dawling- the camera loves you!"
Rollers: they also work well as musical instruments.
What a cutie! Boy, I remember those curlers. She must be a good sport for putting up with sleeping in them!

ReplyDeleteLooks like she got her mama's luscious hair! My mom used to put our hair in rollers using Dippity Do. My hair was super long and ending up looking shoulder length because the curls were so tight! :) I can't believe Lynette will sleep in them...they are SO uncomfortable! Hot rollers are the way to go all the way.
